World Diabetes Day

World Diabetes Day

Source: (Fact & Figures): https://worlddiabetesday.org, https://www.idf.org/

Did you know that diabetes is a specific target of the UN SDGs?

Each year, the World Diabetes Day is held on 14. November to spread awareness about diabetes. The 14. November marks the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, the co-inventor of the insulin hormone along with Charles Herbert Best in 1922.

Latest facts and figures about diabetes as on the grid above are provided by IDF Diabetes Atlas (IDF Diabetes Atlas | Tenth Edition). Health professionals estimate that the figures will continue to rise, therefore the need to raise awareness about this metabolic disorder remains high.

Check out the Kieger AG impact investing info map and find out why diabetes needs much more attention and new solutions.
